Permanent position in Harwell, Oxfordshire: £28,000 - £32,000. Hybrid remote working opportunities.

At SMS Environmental, we’re growing, and we’re looking for a proactive, creative, and organised Content Marketing & Events Executive to support the delivery of our marketing activity across the business. This is a hands-on role focused on content production, communications, digital marketing support, and event delivery. You’ll play a key part in keeping our marketing output consistent, engaging, and aligned across internal and external channels.

What will I be doing?

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you’ll support the day-to-day delivery of marketing and communications activity across the business, helping to ensure campaigns, content, and events are delivered professionally and on time. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating marketing content across digital and offline channels including social media, blogs, case studies, email campaigns, presentations, and promotional materials
  • Managing social media scheduling and publishing across company platforms
  • Maintaining and updating website content through the CMS
  • Supporting internal communications including newsletters, announcements, and company updates
  • Assisting with the promotion, coordination, and delivery of events, webinars, exhibitions, and training initiatives
  • Supporting campaign delivery with copywriting, asset coordination, and content production
  • Working with teams across the business to gather information and produce engaging communications
  • Monitoring marketing activity and supporting reporting where required
  • Ensuring all content aligns with company brand guidelines and tone of voice

What do I need to be successful?

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in a marketing, communications, content, or events-focused role
  • Has strong copywriting and content creation skills
  • Is confident managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Has experience with social media management and scheduling tools
  • Has experience updating website content using CMS platforms
  • Communicates clearly and professionally with stakeholders across the business
  • Has strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Works proactively and takes ownership of delivery tasks
  • Has experience using HubSpot or similar CRM/marketing platforms (desirable but not essential)

This role is central to the day-to-day delivery of marketing activity across the business. You’ll be responsible for keeping content, communications, campaigns, events, and digital channels active, organised, and aligned while supporting a consistent and professional brand presence across all touchpoints.
