Who are SMR Architects? We are an award-winning North Yorkshire architects practice, located in the centre of Harrogate. Our dynamic and collaborative team use creativity and innovation to give the best possible service to our customers.
We are on the hunt for talent, in the form of a Business & Marketing Apprentice. You will support our leadership team in all aspects of marketing strategy, including:
- Digital marketing
- Managing social media platforms
- Videography
- Maintaining the company website
- Establishing an online presence using SEO and content creation
- Providing essential office support to ensure smooth daily operation
Your role as a Business & Marketing Apprentice will include:
- Create & schedule digital campaigns across a variety of platforms
- Post regular content on social media channels, such as creating blogs, video and photography content, and writing copy
- Maintain the social media calendar, engage with followers, and monitor competitor activity
- Draft blogs, news updates, and marketing materials
- Assist in the development and implementation of the company marketing strategy
- Utilise design and publishing software to produce general marketing material
- Update the company website using the latest digital tools
- Create an online presence using SEO & PPC
- Analyse digital campaigns and report to your line manager, suggesting improvements based on insights
- Collaborate with the wider team to offer key insights and opportunities
- Involvement in event administration and management
- Aid the Business Support Team with day-to-day activities
General Office & Administrative Support:
- Answer telephone calls and handle general enquiries professionally
- Assist with data entry and upkeep of internal databases and CRM systems
- Support colleagues and contribute to smooth team operations
- Maintain accurate records and follow internal processes
- Undertake general office duties as directed by the Office Manager
- Build positive working relationships with colleagues, clients, and suppliers
We are looking for a Business & Marketing Apprentice who is:
- Keen to learn and has a hunger for success

- A collaborative team member with a proactive, hands-on approach

Entry Requirements:
- This can either be a Level 4 or Level 5 apprentice; you must be able to prove ability to attain a place on the chosen course provider
- Provide evidence of Level 2 English and Maths qualifications (e.g., GCSE at grade 4+)
- Level 3 qualifications (e.g., A-Levels, BTEC National Diploma, etc.)
- Preferred subjects: Business Studies, Media Studies, Art
- You must be 18 or above by the start of the course
Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5.00 pm
Location: In person, HG1 and college as required
