Do you want to lead the engineering effort that unifies a suite of products to protect millions of children online? At Qoria, we have a simple but profound purpose: to keep every child safe and thriving in their digital life. We build the technology that over 32,000 schools and 8 million parents use to protect more than 27 million children from online risks. It's a mission to build the very foundation of our future.
We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Manager to take a hands-on leadership role in our Early Detection & Intervention business unit. You will lead two of the squads building our flagship product, Monitor, which helps keep children safe at school, at home, and everywhere in between.
In this role, you will lead two distinct engineering teams. The first team owns the customer-facing experience of Monitor, building the tools that empower safety leads to receive alerts, review incidents, and take action on safeguarding concerns. The second team is responsible for the client-side application that runs directly on children's devices.
Ensure Predictable, High-Quality Delivery: In collaboration with the Product team, you'll negotiate the balance between shipping new features, managing quality, and mitigating risk.
Drive Technical and Architectural Strategy: Work in close partnership with Product Management to own the 'how' of building and scaling Monitor. You'll make key architectural decisions to evolve our systems, ensuring seamless integration between the children's devices and the safety lead dashboards.
Cultivate healthy, engaged, and highly effective engineering squads: You will act as a trusted leader across your two teams, developing talent and fostering a culture of technical excellence and ownership.
Proven experience as an Engineering Manager, leading teams in the design, delivery, and operation of complex, distributed systems. A forward-thinking approach to engineering, with the ability to champion and integrate AI-driven tooling into the team's daily development lifecycle.
Technologies: GCP, Go, React, Terraform, Github, Otel, DataDog, Postgres, BigQuery, Firestore.
Enhanced holiday & family leave. Tech Allowance. With every customer interaction, you’ll be helping children stay safe online. We also look after each other and help create a supportive environment for all.
A proven career path forward, with real opportunities to progress your career into other teams and departments within the company. Exposure to industry-leading tech, developed in-house by an amazing engineering team.
