Thanks to a bumper start to 2024 and our continued ambitious growth plans, we have a rare opportunity for a Social Media Account Director to join our ambitious and fast-paced Manchester team.
If you are an experienced Social Media Account Director with a flair for creativity and a passion for building strong client relationships and delivering world-class social media campaigns, then this could be the role for you!
You will be the driving force behind implementing social media strategies for some of the UK’s most well known brands. You will serve as the primary point of contact, building and nurturing strong relationships with clients, understanding their goals, and delivering exceptional results whilst expertly managing and motivating your team.

More About The Role
The role is full-time and on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for –
- Working collaboratively with the Digital Strategy Director and wider SLT including Head of Consumer, Head of B2B and Planning and Strategy Director
- Developing and executing social media strategies and campaigns aligned with clients’ business goals, brand objectives and target audiences
- Manage the team to oversee all social media accounts, including content creation, scheduling, and publishing across various platforms
- Working collaboratively to deliver world class, highly innovative and inherently social campaigns
- Establishing strong relationships with clients at a senior level, acting as the main day-to-day contact for all digital campaign related activities
- Monitoring social media trends, tools, and applications to ensure our agency stays ahead of the curve in utilising new features and technologies effectively
- Maintaining relationships with the major global social platforms
- Continuously monitor campaign performance and adjust strategies and plans as required to ensure campaign success
- Conducting in-depth social media audits and analysis, providing actionable insights and recommendations to optimise campaign performance
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including creative, marketing, and account management, to develop integrated campaigns that deliver against objectives
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, ensuring our agency remains at the forefront of social media marketing strategies
- Leading and mentoring junior team members, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their professional growth
- Leading client meetings. Ensuring that preparation for the meeting is well organised and that account directors or seniors are fully briefed on meeting contents.
- Promoting our range of services and the expansion of business with existing clients
- Working with the senior team on new business briefs and pitches
- Ensuring projects are completed to a specific schedule and within an agreed budget

Essential Experience/ Requirements
- Approx. 5 years experience working on big brand social media accounts, preferably within an agency or similar creative environment
- Strong knowledge of various social media platforms, their functionalities, and best practices for organic and paid campaigns
- Proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics platforms to track and measure performance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling and engaging content
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful insights to drive strategy
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and team members
- Represent your company at industry forums, conferences and seminars.
- Support company culture wholeheartedly, sharing the company’s vision and values with staff and encouraging a positive working environment.
- Demonstrating exemplary conduct at all times, setting high standards to junior members of the team.
Salary banding – £40k+.
