Our restaurants are located in Ongar Essex (just off the A414) and Wapping in central London (near Tower Bridge) and we are currently recruiting for an Experienced Bookkeeper proficient with Sage to handle the day-to-day financial record-keeping.
As bookkeeper you will be responsible for recording and maintaining a business financial transactions, such as purchases, expenses, sales revenue, invoices, and payments.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:- Recording Transactions: Logging all daily incoming revenues and outgoing expenses into Sage.
- Accounts Payable (AP): Processing, tracking, and paying vendor bills on schedule.
- Bank Reconciliation: Matching internal financial records with monthly bank statements to identify discrepancies, missing transactions, or errors.
- Financial Reporting: Compiling basic financial reports, such as profit and loss (P&L) statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Completing VAT returns.
- Keeping sound records of all financial transactions and maintaining financial records on Sage.
- A sound understanding of accounting principles.
- Knowledge of Sage accounting software.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Good time management and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to communicate and resolve queries.
