Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, the Desktop Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support, maintaining desktop infrastructure, and ensuring the smooth operation of end-user computing environments. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, deploying systems, and supporting users both remotely and on-site.
About the Role- Provide 1st and 2nd line support for desktop, laptop, and mobile devices.
- Work closely with the offshore Service Desk team to ensure smooth escalation from call to closure.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Android devices.
- Troubleshoot hardware issues and coordinate repairs or replacements.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications, Active Directory, and remote access tools.
- Ensure endpoint security through antivirus, encryption, and patch management.
- Assist with IT asset management and inventory tracking.
- Document support activities, solutions, and procedures.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to support infrastructure and project work.
- Onsite presence in Rowan House to support walk‑ups and VIP support.
- Visiting depot locations to complete the modern desktop refresh project.
