We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Purchasing Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in procurement within a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You’ll play a key role in supporting purchasing activities, ensuring supplier commitments are met, and helping keep operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Taking ownership of the order acknowledgement process to ensure all purchase orders are confirmed accurately.
  • Managing and tracking shipment dates and delivery schedules, proactively following up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Communicating any supplier delays or changes internally to allow for effective planning and corrective action.
  • Highlighting suppliers who consistently fail to meet commitments or provide updates.
  • Maintaining accurate system data (Glovia ERP), including purchase order amendments.
  • Running and reviewing open order books on a weekly basis.
  • Managing consumable ordering, including min/max stock control.
  • Supporting site facilities ordering requirements.
  • Assisting with supplier onboarding, including gathering and uploading necessary documentation.
  • Completing due diligence checks on item data to support the wider purchasing team.
  • Maintaining organised filing systems and supporting general administrative tasks.
