Smiths (Gloucester) Ltd is a family run business owned and run by the Smith family since 1982. Smiths has grown from a single owner-operated plant hire company to a multifaceted group with family values still firmly at the heart of each project undertaken. With depots in Avonmouth, Cardiff, Gloucester, Stonehouse and Tewkesbury we operate predominately across the South-West of England. We specialise in Construction, Waste Management, Plant Hire, Demolition and Transport operations.

What we are looking for?

We are seeking a hard-working individual who is looking for a career in a busy and thriving industry. We will provide you with in house and course specific training to ensure that you have all the essential tools to become a comprehensive surveyor.

Responsibilities for the job role:

  • Assist in carrying out asbestos management, refurbishment, and demolition surveys
  • Collect samples and record accurate site data
  • Support with preparing detailed reports and documentation
  • Follow strict health and safety procedures at all times
  • Liaise professionally with clients and colleagues
  • Identify work opportunities to pass on to the Asbestos removals team.
  • Assist the team with tendering exercises.
  • Provide high class customer service to our clients at all times.
  • Daily uploading of data into our IT system.
