Who are we? Smiths is a dynamic and growing company specialising in Construction services and Waste management. The business originally started as a Plant Hire business in 1982 by Alan Smith with one very old JCB. Smiths has now grown to be one of the largest Construction and Waste businesses in the South-West and South Wales. With Plant Hire firmly at the heart of Smiths, we are looking for a dedicated and experienced mobile plant fitter to join our team. We are committed to providing exceptional service so join our team and be part of our success.
Hours: 47.5 hours per week 07:00 β 17:00
Salary Range: Β£15 - Β£20 per hour dependent on experience
Responsibilities for mobile plant fitter role:
- Carry out breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance on plant/equipment
- General maintenance of any plant/equipment within the workshop at any time allocated to you by the Workshop Manager/Workshop Foreman
- Ensure the work is carried out in accordance with company policies, to a high standard and in line with best practice
- Capability to carry out hydraulic & electrical diagnoses on plant equipment
