Smiths has grown from a single owner-operated plant hire company to a multifaceted group with family values still firmly at the heart of each project undertaken. With depots in Avonmouth, Cardiff, Gloucester, Stonehouse and Tewkesbury we operate predominately across the South-West of England. We specialise in Construction, Waste Management, Plant Hire, Demolition and Transport operations.

Hourly rate: £13.50 + full training package provided. Contracted hours: 42.5 hours per week.

What we need from you?

  • You will be required to hold a full UK driving license to be successful.
  • The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Experience in carpentry/site work/hand tools is preferred.

Responsibilities for the job role:

  • To carry out asbestos removal works on a variety of projects including commercial and residential buildings.
  • To ensure all works carried out are in accordance with instructions.
  • To work in accordance with HSE regulatory requirements and Smiths (Gloucester) Ltd policies and procedures.
  • Work effectively as part of a team.
