Smiths Demolition have been operating for over 20 years. Smith's is a family run business with values of team-work and hard-work still firmly at the heart of the business. Our Demolition jobs range from small garage demolition, factory and shop strip out to full commercial building demolition.
We are looking for General Operatives to assist with our Demolition projects. This is a full time permanent job, working as part of a team travelling to site in a works van. We carry out a variety of Demolition work across the South-West and are looking for a hard-working and driven individual to join us. Your places of work will mainly be within Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Wiltshire with occasional travel further afield. We are looking for people who ideally live in the Gloucestershire area. Candidates with experience working on construction sites and building projects are most suited to this role.

- Expected hours: 42.5hrs + per week.
- Pay: From Β£13 - Β£14 per hour

Job Description:
- You will travel with the team to the jobs, which can be up to 1h+ hour away from the Smiths Head Office.
- Complying with Health and Safety policy and procedures.
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment safely.
- Soft stripping of buildings and general labouring.
- Work within a team.
- Support the team in achieving project deadlines by completing assigned tasks safely and efficiently.
- Wear the appropriate company issued PPE.
- Physically demanding role.
- To follow all instruction and direction from your supervisor/manager.
- Carry out best practice and safe working practice.
What we need from you:
- Green CSCS/CCDO card, if you donβt have one we can help you get one.
- Experience working within a similar environment.
- Ability to operate various tools and equipment effectively.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to follow instruction from the Site Supervisor.
- Ability to follow all Health and Safety rules.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining safety standards.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as required.
