Smiths Equipment Hire Ltd are the Northwest’s Largest Independent Equipment Hire company with 18 Hire It Centres located across the region. We supply all types of customers in all types of business, specialising in many types of equipment, including plant and machinery for the construction and industrial sectors.

As a Warehouse Operative / Driver, your responsibilities will include:

• Washing equipment in preparation for hire.
• Assisting drivers and customers with loading and unloading vehicles.
• Organising and securing the warehouse.
• Notifying management of damaged, dirty, or misused equipment.
• Delivering equipment to customers, completing paperwork, and securing loads.
• Learning other roles in the depot to assist when necessary.

Requirements for this role include:

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Experience in customer-facing and sales environments.
• Understanding of manual handling.

Working hours: Monday to Friday (no Saturdays).
