Smiths Hire are the Northwest’s Largest Independent Equipment Hire Company with 18 Hire It Centres across the Region. In a period of expansion across the business, we now have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Equipment Delivery Driver for our Burnley Depot.
To be successful in this position we seek experienced drivers who have the ability to carry out the following key responsibilities:
- Carry out daily and weekly vehicle checks ensuring any defects found are reported to the Depot Manager
- Keep an accurate record of deliveries and collections using delivery documentation
- Ensure that any equipment on the vehicle is secured and protected where necessary
- Maintain product knowledge in order to demonstrate to customers where necessary
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
To apply for this role you are required to have the following:
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence
- Digi Card
This is a manual position, so ideally we seek applicants who are physically fit as you will be responsible for managing your own jobs as well as loading goods on and off your vehicle. An understanding of safe loading and towing processes would be highly beneficial.
This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday. No Saturdays.
