Salary Β£30 β Β£37k Dependent On Experience.
Due to continued improvement and growth Smiths Engineering require an experienced CNC Milling Machinist to set up and operate 3 & 5 Axis CNC milling machining centres. The successful candidate will be required to set machines and prove out programs to enable the smooth running of production batches.
Essential Criteria
- Applicants must be time served or have level 3 engineering qualification at pass grade. (Or demonstrate suitable experience in other disciplines such as fitter / mechanic, joiner, electrician etc)
- CNC machining experience setting and machining on milling machines.
- Competency in finishing and inspecting machined parts.
- Read and understand technical drawings.
- Good attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of Heidenhain or Siemens controls.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in Vericut.
- CNC programming experience.
- Experience in Mastercam or similar CAM Software.
Dayshift β Monday to Thursday (8.30am β 5.00pm and Friday 8.30am β 4.00pm). Ability to work 12 hours shifts will be essential after training period.
