Finance Reporting Analyst.
This role is based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, offering hybrid working and working within North West Europe (UK, Israel & Ireland) finance team, a circa. £100M external revenue region.
You will be involved in various aspects across NW Region, business partner of Israel branch, supporting the UK activities and process improvement activities across NW Region finance team.
Business Finance Partner (Israel Branch)
Act as Business Finance Partner for the Israel Branch; understand the business in order to reviewing and challenging monthly results, completing monthly reporting in the Onyx consolidation systems, preparing monthly revenue & cash forecasts, completing formal Budget process, preparing balance sheet control file, bank mandate management and payment approvals, advise outsourced accountants on how to treat items and liaising with local team and outsourced accountants to complete local statutory & tax filings, review the control environment and ensure accordance with group policies.
Point of contact for all interim & year end queries from Divisional finance and external audit teams.
UK Monthly Reporting Activities
Act as primary support for Finance Reporting Manager in all matters related to UK company financial controls and reporting.
Deliver UK month end reporting process ad hoc tasks as required.
Assist with UK year end audit.
Assist with preparation of the statutory & tax filings for the UK entities; completing draft statutory accounts in CaseWare, completing the workings for the statutory accounts and ETB, iXBRL coding of the statutory accounts and performing various tax analysis for the preparation of the corporate tax returns by the outsourced provider.
Other information gathering & analysis tasks for the NW Europe region as required for items such as the PAYE Settlement Agreement, Insurance information submittal process, National Statistics.
Document the UK & Israel control environment for the annual Controls Self-Assessment process, ensuring accordance with group policies and completing the Controls Self-Assessment Questionnaire.
Transformation
Lead on delivery of transformation projects for the NW Europe finance team focusing on improving efficiency of processes as well as a significant improvement in the documentation of controls. Also responsible for leading an improvement project with global implications for the Detection business, nature of projects to be decided.
Support SAP roll-out to Israeli entity
Deciding appropriate plans for the implementation of transformative projects on finance processes
Planning month end activities with 3rd party Israeli accounting team
Part of the team obtaining audit clearance in year-end Group audit
Accurate accounting treatments reported in Group consolidation system, with good explanation for subsequent auditor inquiries and no journals or unadjusted errors.
Qualifications
Fully Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA ,CIMA or equivalent) or Part-Qualified accountant with solid relevant experience
Knowledge or experience of IFRS standards especially IFRS9, IFRS15 & IFRS16.
Excellent excel knowledge.
Experience of using & implementing management information systems (Oracle EPBCS / FCCS / SmartView or similar) is advantageous.
Knowledge of SAP is preferrable.
Foreign language skills (especially Hebrew) an advantage.
Ability & motivation to persistently pursue and achieve effective results which drive the business forward.
Accurate and well organised.
Ability to evaluate, analyse and address problems and data of diverse scope.
Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong ability to work independently.
