We are seeking an experienced Engineering Master Data Manager (MDM) for a 12 month FTC to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the SAP Engineering Master Data Management pillar. This is a critical role responsible for driving immediate deliverables within the Transformation Programme and ensuring complete accuracy of engineering-related master data across global manufacturing sites in UK, Germany, France, Malaysia and US. You will lead a team of 8 engineers and professionals across the sites, ensuring alignment with business objectives to set up and manage high quality Material Master Data, Bill of Materials, Routings, Equipment Master data. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on a critical business area, shaping the future of engineering data management in a global organisation. Willingness to travel internationally as this role requires close interactions across the manufacturing sites. We are unable to sponsor for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and implement the immediate vision and roadmap for Engineering MDM, ensuring alignment with the current Transformation Programme targets.
  • Act as the primary point of contact and champion for engineering master data governance and compliance.
  • Drive change and innovation in how we manage Engineering master data, through better tooling, processes to standardise and maintain high data quality.
Operational Management
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Engineering MDM team, ensuring timely and accurate execution of tasks.
  • Oversee activities to audit, cleanse and enhance data structures, taxonomies and mapping.
  • Ensure timely execution of data migration, cleansing, and validation activities during system upgrades or transformation initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build strong partnerships with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, Finance, and IT teams.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for engineering change management and master data requirements in cross‑functional projects.
  • Influence stakeholders to adopt best practices and ensure alignment with global data governance objectives.
Project Delivery
  • Lead projects and oversee master data requirements related to data projects scoped in for the next FY, e.g. further automation of manual processes for Material Master and Equipment Master data, Warehouse Management System and enhancements to Bill of Material setup.
