We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Service team as a Field Service Engineer, supporting key aviation customers across the Gatwick region. This is a critical and highly visible role where you'll be responsible for installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing advanced Trace and X-ray equipment, playing a vital part in keeping airport operations running safely and efficiently. All travel is paid door‑to‑door, meaning no unpaid commute time.
Responsibilities
- Delivering high quality service and repair support, ensuring strong customer satisfaction
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing complex electrical and mechanical equipment
- Diagnosing faults and resolving issues in the field
- Managing parts, repairs, and service documentation efficiently
- Producing reports and maintaining accurate service records
- Supporting customers with training and technical advice
- Collaborating with senior engineers and product teams
- Contributing to continuous improvement of equipment and processes
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Supporting other clients including Southampton & Bournemouth Airports.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Level 3 Engineering qualification (electrical, electronic, or mechanical) or equivalent experience
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing electrical/mechanical systems
- Strong customer focus and communication skills
- Comfortable using MS Office and learning new systems
- Ability to travel at short notice
- Full eligibility for UK Security Clearance (must have lived/worked in the UK for 5+ years)
Desirable:
- Experience with air conditioning systems
- Previous field service or technical support experience
