Program Overview
Life Unlimited. At Smith+Né phew, we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living. The Regulatory Affairs Apprenticeship programme, starting September 2026, provides an introduction to the area of Regulatory Affairs in Medical Technology, crafted to launch you into a career within this industry whilst providing you all the tools you need to thrive.
What You Will Be Doing
- Regulatory Affairs basics; learn how to complete key tasks and duties, use our operating systems, and understand the why and what of Regulatory Affairs at S+N.
- Shadow teams, understand how products are made and sold, and how they get into customers’ hands from new ideas through to market launch.
- Regulatory Intelligence; learn how we react to new regulations and anticipate what might change in the future.
- Understanding S+N’s various regulatory needs; navigate differing regulations across the various areas of our business.
- Gain experience across multiple technology businesses globally (Wound Management, Sports Medicine, Orthopaedics and Robotics).
What You Will Need To Be Successful
- Minimum GCSE Grade 6 / A or B (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- Achieved or predicted strong A‑Level results (or equivalent Level 3 qualification), typically BBC or above. Scientific or technical subjects preferred.
