The Role
As an Account Director, you will be leading teams working on multiple research and intelligence projects concurrently across a variety of healthcare and pharma clients, with a focus on secondary methodologies. This role will suit someone with strong experience in social listening, media monitoring and landscape analysis, who is confident turning complex intelligence into clear strategic recommendations for clients. You will work closely with Edelman teams and clients to ensure research and intelligence are connected to communications challenges, business priorities and real-world decision-making. While healthcare and pharma experience is important, we are also looking for someone who is ready to flex across other industries and sectors. The ideal candidate will be digitally fluent, AI savvy and curious about how emerging tools and technologies can enhance the way we deliver intelligence.
Responsibility
- Lead the delivery of secondary projects across key healthcare and pharma clients, ensuring work is strategic, insightful and commercially sound.
- Manage client relationships day to day, including leading meetings, understanding client needs and identifying opportunities for account growth.
- Shape intelligence approaches for pitches, proposals and live projects, selecting the right methodologies, tools and outputs.
- Translate social, media and landscape intelligence into clear, compelling recommendations for clients.
- Oversee project delivery, budgets and timelines, contributing to account profitability and high-quality execution.
- Support and develop junior team members, while sharing best practice, new tools and AI-enabled approaches across the team.
- Flex across other sectors and Edelman teams where broader intelligence support is required.
