A new opportunity has arisen within our Primary Packaging and Materials Department for a Materials Technologist who wants to develop their skills within a successful and growing business. As an important member of the team, you will be fully trained to carry out a range of physical tests relating to materials and packaging performance, responsible for assisting in the preparation of technical reports and providing accurate and timely results to project leaders. A methodical approach and the ability to plan, organise and manage your own workload are required.

All members of the materials testing laboratory are expected to ensure safe working and a high standard of housekeeping; including the fulfilment of all HS&E requirements.

The successful candidate should have strong written and verbal communication skills, and would ideally have some laboratory experience in the physical testing of materials and products, but candidates with the aptitude to work in a disciplined scientific/engineering environment are also encouraged to apply. You must be highly numerate, have a minimum of A Level/BTEC HNC or higher in a scientific/engineering subject and be computer literate – particularly in Excel and Word.
