The role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced events marketing professional to join us on a maternity cover contract, in the role of Marketing Manager for our EU events portfolio. In the role of Marketing Manager, EU Events, some of your duties will include:
- Responsible for EU Events Marketing strategy and implementation
- Management of Events Marketing team and allocation of workload
- Responsible for running of simultaneous event marketing campaigns
- To achieve revenue targets for EU Events portfolio, through bringing in the required level of delegates via marketing activity
- Manage the Marketing team to deliver on their designated targets for revenue and delegate attendance
- Budget tracking and control across the EU portfolio
- Responsibility for creation, editing and proofing of emails, interviews, press releases and other promotional materials
- Manage existing and develop new key strategic media and association partners
- Increase profile of the conferences across their industries
- Management of own marketing campaigns for 4-5 large scale events
- Creation, copywriting and fulfilment of regular email marketing activity, including HTML manipulation
- Partnerships: fulfilling agreements with partners, desk research of potential partners and new suppliers and contact details for these
- Updating event websites through CMS, creation of online banners and resizing of logos/photos in Photoshop
- Manage production of marketing literature for events
- Market Research and data management: data segmentation and lists management of preferences and unsubscribes
- Media and social media: Utilising all available news resources to fuel content and social media campaign elements
The person
- Degree in marketing or related field
- Demonstrated experience with managing a direct marketing campaign and B2B marketing
- Proven experience with social media or SEO
- Must be familiar with Google analytics and metric analysis
- Intermediate Photoshop skill level; Dreamweaver and html coding skills are advantageous
- Confidence in using CRM and all the Microsoft Office packages, specifically in Excel for data manipulation
- Event and conference industry experience, a plus
- A self-assured negotiator with the confidence to deal with media and supporting partners
This position is eligible for a hybrid remote work schedule.
