THE COMPANY
A $400m global confectionery branded business which continues to experience unprecedented growth across both UK and international markets, driven by exceptional consumer purchasing, fuelling ever-increasing rates-of-sale through high street retail and grocery retail multiple accounts.
They have a highly collaborative Sales & Marketing team that works with pace, enthusiasm and a clear, well-invested, brand-led marketing strategy focused on consumer insight-led, product innovative, effective brand communications and driving targeted trade listings, distribution and promotional activities. Their brands and target consumers echo a strong sense of fun and energy, which sets the cultural tone across this supportive yet driven business.
THE ROLE
To further support the high international growth division, the UK board are looking to further invest in their Marketing team with another new appointment as Category & Insight Manager. This position will manage and develop consumer Circana and Nielsen insight data to build internal reporting that will shape brand-led trading strategies up to board level. Additionally, you will build compelling customer-specific brand and category stories focused on driving product listings, distribution and merchandising that impacts rate of sale – so lots of customer facing business influencing opportunities.
Working closely with the Marketing and Sales teams you will help shape strategies and brand-led stories that will play a central role towards helping the business meet their objective in doubling sales over the next 4 years – exciting stuff!
ABOUT YOU
Having shaped your FMCG career around consumer insights and category/brand storytelling, you have developed up to Category Manager level, gaining experience and lots of success in driving profitable sales within either grocery retail or impulse retail major accounts. Or you could have gained your CatMan experience managing international grocery multiple retailers.
You love numbers, analysis and more importantly, you can create compelling category/brand-led stories that motivate and influence key customer stakeholders and drive rate-of-sale performance at point of purchase.
You are comfortable working as part of a cross-functionally collaborative team, are highly personable, hardworking and driven to deliver high standards of work together with the ambition to achieve your business objectives.
