Join us as a Fixed term Summer Technician and become a key player in keeping people safe on the road. In this hands-on role, you will be supporting our Auto Glazing team to repair and recalibrate vehicle glass using cutting-edge tools and technologyâdelivering top-quality workmanship every time.
Youâll also be the face of our service, working directly with customers to provide expert advice, offer value-added products, and ensure every interaction is a great one. Your commitment to exceptional customer service will make a real difference.

- Location: Smith&Smith Hastings
- Hours: 30 hours, rostered across the week.
- Fixed term: 1 December 2025 - 31 March 2026
What weâre looking for:
- Motivated people with a passion for hands-on work, and a genuine interest in advancing technical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- No prior Autoglass repair and replacement experience is necessary as we provide comprehensive training.
- A passion for exceptional customer service.
- The ability to learn new technology and systems quickly.
- Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to upsell value-added products and services.
- Physical capability to repetitively lift heavy items (up to 25kg) during a normal working day.
- A clean driver's license (restricted or full class) is a minimum requirement.
- You must have unrestricted rights to work in New Zealand.
- The successful candidate will need to undergo a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening test.
