Overview

As a Logistics Specialist at Smith+Nephew, you enable efficient loan and trade operations for surgical equipment while maintaining precise documentation and stock control.

You work across warehousing tasks and system updates to ensure accuracy and timely shipments.

You will handle inspection, packaging, and shipping, plus system maintenance in SAP and Movemedical.

Your work supports patient care and operational reliability in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and conduct basic functional checks on surgical equipment, consumables, control units and pumps
  • Verify loan documentation for accuracy before inspection
  • Receive, unpack, scan, and verify loan sets; prepare for dispatch
  • Coordinate shipping with in-house couriers; pick, pack and ship outbound orders
  • Receive goods, perform physical checks, and store stock
  • Update systems (Mymediset, SAP, Movemedical) and perform cycle counts, reporting and replenishments
  • Manage cleaning of pumps and other routine maintenance
  • Contribute to additional duties as needed (cycle counts, reporting, replenishments, etc.)
  • Key requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and an organized, methodical approach
  • Comfort with physical work (up to 80% of role)
  • Ability to follow processes and handle medical equipment with care
  • Basic computer skills (Outlook and Excel)
  • Experience in warehousing, logistics, medical devices or loan sets is advantageous but not essential
  • Knowledge of SAP is ideal but not essential
