Our Global HR Technology team plays a vital role in this journey, delivering data-driven solutions that enhance the way Human Resources is delivered across Smith+Nephew. We’re now looking for a Workday Reporting and Analytics Specialist to join our team and help us unlock the full potential of our people data.

From leading high-value reporting projects to owning the tools that power our global HR function, you’ll help us evolve how we operate today and tomorrow.

What Will You Be Doing?
  • Lead the design, development and delivery of high-quality reporting solutions in Workday, including dashboards, discovery boards, Worksheets and Prism analytics.
  • Transform Workday and non-Workday data to enable integrated analytic solutions.
  • Own and deliver standard and ad-hoc reporting projects, enhancements and business-as-usual requests.
  • Identify and implement improvements to optimise reporting processes and data validation.
  • Resolve complex reporting cases, investigate root causes, and provide effective solutions or workarounds.
  • Evaluate change requests, support user acceptance testing, and coordinate training and deployment.
  • Assess data sources to ensure reporting accuracy and quality.
  • Develop reports that support data quality, operational activities, and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain repeatable, accurate and credible metrics and dashboards.
  • Support end-user training and education to promote self-sufficiency.
  • Communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders across the analytics lifecycle.
  • Ensure reporting processes comply with audit and regulatory standards.
  • Act as testing lead for bi-annual Workday releases related to reporting and analytics.
  • Stay up to date with Workday functionality and contribute to online communities and brainstorms.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 operational support for reporting and analytics issues.
  • Champion customer focus and continuous improvement through feedback and collaboration.
What Will You Need to Be Successful?

We\'re looking for someone with a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, IT, or a related field, and 5+ years of experience in Workday reporting and analytics.

You should have expert knowledge of Workday reporting tools, including Calculated Fields, Advanced Reports, Dashboards, Discovery Boards, Worksheets, and Prism. Experience with Composite Reports, People Analytics, and Workday Hub configuration is a big plus.

Confidence in working with HR data and people analytics is essential. Familiarity with visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView will help you thrive in this role.

We value experience with Workday Release Testing, Business Processes, and security configuration. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are a must.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities will set you apart. You should be able to translate business needs into technical solutions and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
