We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded E-Commerce Executive to join our Marketing team at Head Office in Glenfield, Leicester.
The successful candidate will be digitally confident working with e-commerce platforms, CMS tools and fundamental HTML. Coding knowledge is not required, but the candidate should be comfortable formatting content, managing links and images, and understanding basic online principles such as SEO, page structure, navigation and mobile-friendly content.
The role will support the day-to-day running of our e-commerce platform and wider 3 rd party platforms, working within the online team to support and educate our existing customers and the branch network, while helping resolve any issues or complexities that arise. The role integrates with wider business functions, so cross-departmental communication is a vital part of the role.
As part of the wider Marketing team, the role will also provide support across other marketing activities and projects as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor & Support customer activity; account management, orders, transactions.
- Investigate and resolve customer and branch queries and issues.
- Communicate system benefits of the platform to staff, branches & customers.
- Work with supply chain and branches to support the sell-through of slow-moving product.
- Review product information and identify opportunities to improve product data, content and website usability.
- Proactively identify ways to improve the customer journey and overall online experience.
- Support website testing, updates and improvements.
- Provide wider support to the Marketing team with campaigns, projects and general marketing activity as required.
Skills & Attributes
- Proactive, customer-focused and commercially aware.
- Familiar with HTML and webpage building/experience.
- Organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communicating with colleagues and customers.
- A desire to learn, investigate problems and to take ownership through to resolution.
- Experience using CSS code and online product profiles
Previous experience in e-commerce or sales support would be beneficial, but not essential; a proactive attitude and willingness to learn are equally important.
