Founded in 1920, Smith Brothers Farms is one of the Pacific Northwest's most iconic home-delivery dairy brands. For over 100 years, we've proudly delivered farm-fresh milk, locally made goods, and exceptional customer service to families across the region. Our mission is simple: bring fresh, high-quality foods straight to the front door while supporting local farms and communities.

This role runs our ecommerce storefront. Every two weeks, you turn the Merchandising Plan into live prices, promotions, and placements on the website and app, and you make sure every one is right before customers see it. You own how our categories, navigation, and home screens are built, you get new products live on time, and you measure what customers do with what we show them.

You are also the business owner for our merchandising systems. When something in the platform slows the team down or hides a customer insight, you define the fix and see it through with IT.

When you join Smith Brothers Farms, you become part of a trusted Northwest tradition built on quality, integrity, and family values.

What you'll do

Promotion and pricing execution

β€’ Build each period's promotional discounts in nopCommerce by customer type, scheduled to each customer's delivery date.

β€’ Audit every promotion build against the plan before release, and resolve discrepancies with IT and buyers.

β€’ Build and release the Weekly Savings and Weekly Features categories each week after the Thursday cutoff.

Storefront and app merchandising

β€’ Build homepage image blocks, app feature placements, and campaign categories in a test environment, then release approved work to the live site and app.

β€’ Supply category, product, and search links for email, push, and homepage banners in partnership with our Communications Manager.

β€’ Keep the app and website aligned as new app features launch and older components retire.

Product setup

β€’ Coordinate every new and returning product in Asana, from the buyer's New Product Form to live on the site and app 1–2 days before it arrives.

β€’ Brief our Creative and Communications partners with clear scope and due dates, and review their images and copy before launch.

β€’ Assign products to categories and keep category sort order current.

Category architecture and site health

β€’ Own the category and subcategory structure, naming, top navigation, and search features such as Trending Searches.

β€’ Manage market-specific category visibility for Seattle and Portland.

β€’ Run a monthly end-to-end site and app audit and close out issues with Creative, Communications, and IT.

Performance and conversion

β€’ Track cart activity against invoiced sales by category and promotion each week.

β€’ Produce a performance readout each promotion period for the Director and Chief Growth Officer, covering promotion results, placement performance, cannibalization, and standing-order effects.

β€’ Build toward measuring conversion from product and category views through to sale.

Systems and process improvement

β€’ Identify system and process gaps, write requirements, and manage delivery with IT. Near-term projects include schedulable promotion categories, a delivery-date-aware sale indicator, a promotion history dataset in Power BI, view tracking, and bulk display-order import.

β€’ Maintain written procedures for every recurring task, plus the Asana templates that run product setup.

What success looks like

β€’ Zero customer-facing promotion pricing errors, with every build audited before release.

β€’ Weekly promotions live on time, every Thursday.

β€’ New products live on the site and app before they arrive, every time.

β€’ The team building two weeks ahead instead of one within your first six months.

β€’ New Clear performance readout every promotion period, and a view-to-sale conversion measure in place within your first year.

β€’ 3–5 years in e-commerce merchandising, site operations, or digital product management, ideally in grocery or retail.

β€’ Hands-on administration of an e-commerce platform or CMS such as nopCommerce, Shopify, Magento, or BigCommerce.

β€’ Advanced Excel and working knowledge of Power BI or a similar BI tool.

β€’ Experience writing requirements for developers and testing what they deliver.

β€’ Exacting attention to detail with prices, dates, and links, and the judgment to hold a release when something is not right.

β€’ Clear briefing and follow-through with creative and copy partners, using a project tool such as Asana.

Nice to have

β€’ NetSuite, Klaviyo, SQL, or experience with subscription or scheduled-delivery commerce.

Working Conditions

β€’ This is a full-time, in-office position at our Federal Way, Washington location.
