We are looking for a motivated and organised Junior Buyer to join our growing team.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career within buying and procurement. The role will primarily focus on supporting the buying team with administration, supplier coordination, and day‑to‑day operational tasks within a fast‑paced fresh produce environment. You’ll work closely with buyers, suppliers, warehouse teams, and internal departments to ensure products are sourced efficiently and administrative processes run smoothly. The hours for this role are 5:00 am to 2:00 pm, making it ideal for someone who enjoys early starts and finishing earlier in the day.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the buying and procurement team
- Raise and process purchase orders accurately and efficiently
- Maintain supplier records, pricing information, and product data
- Liaise with suppliers regarding deliveries, shortages, and pricing updates
- Support stock management and product availability checks
- Assist with reporting, spreadsheets, and data entry
- Work closely with warehouse and operations teams to ensure smooth daily operations
- Monitor and update internal systems with accurate information
- Support buyers with ad‑hoc tasks and commercial projects
- Help maintain strong supplier relationships and communication
About You
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident working in a fast‑paced environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Competent using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong administrative and time management skills
- Previous experience within administration, procurement, buying, supply chain, or FMCG is advantageous but not essential
