About the role
As an HGV Driver & Despatch Operative, you'll help keep Smiley Monroe moving by ensuring our products are safely prepared, accurately dispatched and delivered to customers across Northern Ireland.
This is a varied role that combines driving, yard operations and despatch activities, offering plenty of variety and the opportunity to make a real difference every day.
What you’ll be doing
- Carry out lorry driving duties across Northern Ireland, ensuring safe, timely and professional delivery of customer orders.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles safely, checking goods for accuracy and quality.
- Shrink-wrap and package products to Smiley Monroe standards.
- Complete all relevant despatch and delivery documentation accurately and on time.
- Organise workload to meet daily despatch and delivery targets.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised yard area, carrying out daily safety checks.
- Assist with internal and external movement of products within the yard.
- Support the wider despatch team with general duties.
- Always working in line with health & safety procedures and company values.
About You
- Full UK driving license.
- HGV Class 2 license.
- Ability to lift moderate to heavy weights.
- Strong awareness of health & safety in bothyard and driving environments.
- High level of accuracy with strong attentionto detail.
- Positive, team-focused attitude with aflexible approach to work.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
