Our client is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Sales Director / Head of Sales to lead in their South West region. The Role
In this key leadership role, you\\\βll develop and deliver bold sales initiatives, build lasting customer partnerships, and streamline their sales processes to maximise performance and profitability. You will work closely with the Group Sales & Customer Experience Director to ensure regional strategies align with their wider business objectives and deliver outstanding customer outcomes. They\\\βre looking for a proven sales leader from the construction or housebuilding industry β someone with a winning mindset, strong leadership skills, and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Plan and manage staffing requirements across developments, including recruitment, training, and succession planning.
- Monitor and evaluate performance across all live sites, proactively identifying and addressing challenges to ensure consistent delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and internal policies, including CML, Transparency, the Consumer Code, and the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations (2008).
- Champion the customer journey, ensuring every buyer receives an exceptional experience in line with their standards.
- Oversee marketing and CRM activity, ensuring campaigns, media activity, and digital engagement align with brand and business objectives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Construction, Technical, Commercial, and Land teams to deliver developments on time and within budget.
- Analyse and report on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity to inform strategy and maximise profitability.
- Contribute to land acquisition by providing market insight, scheme recommendations, and profitability assessments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with agents, solicitors, mortgage advisors, valuers, and other key stakeholders.
Skills And Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sales Director or Senior Sales Manager within housebuilding or residential development.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel around the region / to site visits.
- A strong track record of delivering sales success and achieving business objectives.
- Inspirational leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and coach teams to high performance.
- Excellent commercial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets, monitor margins, and drive profitability.
- Highly organised, proactive, and adaptable, with strong planning and problem-solving abilities.
- A collaborative approach with exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
