Location: Campus in Wiltshire: Chippenham (SN153QD), Lackham (SN152NY), and Trowbridge (BA140ES). Ability to travel to all campuses is not essential but would be preferable. (Possibility of some online tuition depending on location and available resources)

Salary: £18 an hour plus holiday pay.

Hours: 0-15 hours per week at consistent time each week until programme end date May 2026.

Closing date: Friday 25th July 5pm. Applications may close sooner than this if sufficient tutor numbers have been met.

Start date: Their tutor pool will be offered sessions in September 2025 based on their given availability. Sessions will begin from October 2025.

Our client is an award-winning charity that supports students from disadvantaged backgrounds to develop the skills they need to progress onto higher-level courses, apprenticeships, and into the workplace. They partner with colleges and employers to deliver tailored tuition for GCSE and Functional Skills, offering valuable extra support to help students secure gateway qualifications.

The Role

As a Flex Tutor, you'll deliver small-group tuition (1-3 students) using their ready-to-go English and maths resources. No lesson planning needed - just focused delivery and meaningful student support during 1.5 hour weekday sessions. You'll help unlock opportunities for young people who need a second chance at crucial gateway qualifications. This is an exciting opportunity to have a direct impact on the life chances of students helping them to improve their skills and achieve key qualifications that open doors for future study and work.

Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Grade C/4 or above in GCSE English and maths (or equivalent)
  • A-level (or equivalent) in a relevant subject at grade B or above
  • Minimum 2:2 undergraduate degree (or working towards one)
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
  • Availability for at least 2 hours/week for 15 weeks
  • Commitment to attend two full days of training
  • Access to travel to placement and/or online setup (for remote roles).
