The Role Are you a part-qualified accountant looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in a fast-growing technical distribution company? The company is an award-winning leader in enterprise-level Wi-Fi, Point-to-Point, and security technologies, they are seeking a Financial Accountant to join their friendly and diligent team on a 12-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of a permanent role. As their Financial Accountant, you\’ll be instrumental in maintaining the financial health of their organisation. You\’ll be responsible for preparing accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting internal and external audits. This is a key role where your insights will directly contribute to their strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure accurate journal entries. Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in tax filings. Perform shipping reconciliations. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Monitor and improve financial controls and processes. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting. Oversee the Credit Control Function. Oversee the Purchase Ledger Function. Skills And Qualifications Part-qualified accountant with a strong understanding of financial principles. Excellent analytical skills and thorough attention to detail. A patient and calm approach, even in stressful situations. Persistence and determination to see tasks through. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively. Sound decision-making capabilities. The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines. Good IT skills, with familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite experience is a plus, but not essential). Clean driving licence and own car are essential due to our rural Oxfordshire location.
