The Role
As an EHC Coordinator, you will be the key point of contact for children, young people and their families, ensuring that Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) are coordinated effectively across services.
You will work within the legislative framework of the Children & Families Act 2014, applying national and local policies to deliver high-quality, holistic support.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a single point of contact for families regarding EHCPs.
- Coordinate multi-agency assessments and reviews.
- Chair complex meetings and co-production sessions.
- Monitor placements and ensure provision meets EHCP requirements.
- Lead on the development of clear, outcome-focused EHCPs.
- Provide advice and support to families and professionals.
- Present cases to multi-disciplinary panels and make recommendations.
- Support smooth transitions between educational settings.
Skills And Qualifications
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
- Professional background in early years, social care, health or education.
- Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and person-centred approaches.
