The Role
- Proactively manage customer accounts by setting appropriate credit limits and terms to balance sales opportunities with financial risk.
- Build and maintain excellent customer relationships, ensuring they are aware of their account balances and negotiating payment plans when needed.
- Be responsible for chasing overdue payments and ensuring all debt-related correspondence is clear, professional, and visible to stakeholders.
- Monitor customer activity to identify potential fraud risks and help protect the business.
- Liaise with the sales and operations teams to ensure smooth order processing and with the credit insurance providers to manage credit limit requests.
- Release orders on finance hold, handle customer queries, and, when necessary, instigate legal proceedings for debt recovery.
