Smiles At School Photography is dedicated to capturing memorable moments in schools and nurseries. We offer a range of services, from traditional school portraits to fun, informal photo sessions, including class, team, and full school photos. Our "No smile left behind" mission ensures all children receive amazing school memories, while school staff receive the utmost service with minimal admin and stress.
We currently have freelance remote roles available for experienced School and Nursery Photographers based in the South of England. Photographers will be responsible for attending photo sessions and capturing high-quality images, and for managing the culling and delivery of final photographs in a timely manner. They will also manage the shoot day to ensure smooth operations and positive interactions with school staff. Photoshoots will take place throughout the southern counties, and we will work with the photographer to ensure jobs are within commuting distance and suitable for their skillset.
Responsibilities:- Attend scheduled photo sessions and capture high-quality images.
- Manage image culling and deliver final photographs to the company in a timely manner.
- Coordinate shoot days to ensure smooth operations and positive school staff experiences.
- Ensure shoots are within commuting distance and align with the photographer's skillset.
- They are resident in the UK, English speaking and with UK experience.
- Have previous experience photographing in busy schools and nurseries, managing shoots themselves and delivering saleable images. This is NOT a training post, though guidance on our photography style and systems will be provided.
- Proficiency in UK Early Years and School Portrait Photography including lighting and problem solving.
- A fun, energetic demeanor, able to encourage smiles and giggles from nervous children.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and remotely.
- A valid DBS (or willingness to apply for one), plus relevant Public Liability Insurance.
We pay competitive rates in line with the industry, with small preschool shoots starting from £130 and longer/more demanding shoots paying up to £200 per shoot. Travel expenses are covered and bonuses may be available.
