Inspired by Montessori and Forest Schooling, alongside the EYFS framework, Smile & Shine Nursery offers a nurturing and caring environment for all children.
The Role:
- Leading and overseeing the daily operation of the nursery to ensure a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children.
- Planning and implementing age-appropriate activities and educational programs based on the EYFS and Montessori principles.
- Ensuring the smooth running of the nursery, managing staff, and supporting the day-to-day activities of the nursery.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing the team of practitioners, ensuring the highest standards of care and education.
- Building strong and positive relationships with parents and carers, offering regular updates on their child’s progress.
- Ensuring compliance with all safeguarding and health and safety regulations.
- Conducting regular performance reviews and providing support for professional development.
- Reviewing and assessing children's progress through observations and ensuring that individual needs are met.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1-year experience in a management role in a childcare or early years setting (Nursery or similar).
- UK Level 3 qualification in Childcare or higher (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in leading a team and managing a childcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS, Montessori principles, and Forest Schooling approaches.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
- A passion for working with children and providing high-quality care.
