Smile Education are currently working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Swadlincote to recruit a passionate Year 1 Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive school environment and make a real impact on young learners at a crucial stage of their development.
Full Teaching Role & Responsibilities:
  • Plan, deliver and assess engaging and age-appropriate lessons in line with the Year 1 national curriculum.
  • Monitor and support pupil progress, identifying areas for intervention where necessary.
  • Create a safe and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning.
  • Establish positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual learners.
  • Contribute to school life including staff meetings, planning sessions and professional development.
  • Maintain accurate records of assessments and progress tracking.
  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote the well-being of all pupils.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Essential
  • Experience in KS1 or Year 1 preferred
