How to prepare for a job interview at Smile Education

Know Your EYFS Inside Out

Make sure you brush up on the EYFS framework before your interview. Familiarise yourself with the key principles and how they apply to play-based learning. This will show that you're not just passionate about teaching, but also knowledgeable about the curriculum.

Showcase Your Classroom Management Skills

Be ready to discuss your classroom management strategies. Think of specific examples where you've successfully created a positive learning environment. This is crucial for an EYFS role, so highlight your ability to engage young learners and maintain order.

Prepare for Scenario Questions

Expect questions that ask how you'd handle certain situations in the classroom. Prepare scenarios related to child behaviour, parent communication, or adapting lessons for different needs. This will demonstrate your proactive approach and problem-solving skills.

Ask Insightful Questions

At the end of the interview, have a few thoughtful questions ready about the school’s culture, support for teachers, or professional development opportunities. This shows your genuine interest in the role and helps you assess if the school is the right fit for you.
