About the Role
Smile Education is working alongside a fantastic primary school to find an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 5 Teacher starting in January. This welcoming school is looking for someone who can inspire upper Key Stage 2 students, foster a love for learning, and guide them through this crucial stage of their primary education. Both fully qualified teachers and enthusiastic Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply!
Key Responsibilities
- Plan & Deliver: Design creative, play-based lessons aligned with the curriculum.
- Inspire & Nurture: Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere that supports academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Assess & Track: Monitor pupil progress, maintain meaningful observations, and assess development milestones.
- Collaborate: Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, parents, and the wider school community to ensure every child thrives.
The Ideal Candidate will have
- Qualifications: Holds UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) — experienced teachers and ECTs are both welcome.
- Experience: Passion for teaching upper primary pupils with strong curriculum knowledge.
- Attributes: Engaging, adaptable, and equipped with great classroom management skills.
