Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Level 3 TA Qualification Required).
Location: WV3, Castlecroft, Wolverhampton.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM β 3:30 PM.
Duration: Long-term position confirmed.
Smile Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to support a KS2 student with high complex needs at a Wolverhampton Primary School. This is a long-term role offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on a child's educational journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one support to a KS2 student with high complex needs and non-verbal communication.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the student, including managing climbing behaviours.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement tailored learning strategies.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
- Minimum Level 3 TA qualification.
- Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN).
- Strong understanding of supporting non-verbal students and managing complex behaviours.
- Team Teach training is preferred; however, for strong SEN Teaching Assistants, we offer Team Teach training during the first week of September.
