An exciting opportunity has become available for a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Coordinator to join a thriving secondary academy in Witham. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people with SEMH needs, behaviour challenges, and trauma related barriers to learning. The school is a highly regarded and growing academy with modern facilities, a supportive leadership team, and a strong focus on staff development and wellbeing. It offers a welcoming and inclusive environment for both students and staff.
Role- Support students’ emotional wellbeing, behaviour, attendance and personal development
- Provide trauma informed support and targeted SEMH interventions
- Build strong and positive relationships with students
- Support behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
- Monitor attendance, behaviour and wellbeing data
- Work closely with families, safeguarding teams and external agencies
- Promote safeguarding and ensure student welfare is prioritised at all times
- Encourage positive engagement with education and school life
- Has experience working with children or young people
- Has knowledge or experience of SEMH and trauma informed practice
- Is calm, patient and resilient under pressure
- Has strong communication and relationship building skills
- Is passionate about supporting vulnerable students
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Is committed to helping students achieve their full potential
