Pay Rates

Smile Education is proud to be working in partnership with a number of successful and welcoming primary schools across Hyde, Whitby, Middlesbrough, Stockton-on-Tees, Yarm, and Tameside.
We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Primary HLTAs, SEN Teaching Assistants, and Level 2 & Level 3 Teaching Assistants to support pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2.

The Role
- Support pupils in their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Deliver targeted interventions and small group sessions.
- Provide one-to-one support for pupils with additional learning needs and SEN.
- Work closely with class teachers to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
- Support pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 where required.
- For HLTA roles, lead lessons and cover classes in the teacher's absence.
- The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- A relevant Level 2, Level 3, HLTA, or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 6 months' UK classroom experience.
- Experience supporting children with SEN is desirable.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning.
Requirements
- Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Smile Education.
- Ability to provide two years of references, including at least one relating to experience working with children.
- Right to work in the UK.
