Smile Education is seeking an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join the Key Stage 1 team at welcoming and supportive local primary schools across Walsall, Wednesbury, Wolverhampton, Telford, Shropshire and Staffordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to begin your teaching career in a nurturing environment with excellent mentoring and development opportunities.

What you’ll do:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons to KS1 pupils
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
  • Work closely with colleagues and mentors to develop your teaching practice
  • Support the individual needs of pupils to help them reach their potential

You’ll need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be due to gain it soon
  • A strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum
  • Passion for supporting young learners in their early education
  • An enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
