Are you passionate about supporting young people with complex additional needs, SEMH and behavioural challenges?

We are currently recruiting for two Therapeutic Integration Practitioners (TIPs) to join a specialist educational setting in Northwest London. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, resilient and compassionate practitioner who wants to make a genuine difference to the lives of young people.

The Role

As a Therapeutic Integration Practitioner, you will work closely with pupils who may present with a range of SEMH, behavioural, emotional and additional needs. You will provide consistent, therapeutic support while helping pupils develop the confidence, emotional regulation and skills they need to engage positively with education.

You will work as part of a wider multidisciplinary team, building strong relationships with pupils and supporting their individual therapeutic and educational programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group therapeutic and pastoral supportto pupils.
  • Build positive, trusting and professional relationships with young people.
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour and social development.
  • Implement individualised strategies and therapeutic interventions.
  • Respond calmly and effectively to challenging or distressed behaviour.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, SEN staff and wider professionals.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to pupil progress reviews.
  • Promote a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support pupils in developing independence, resilience and positive relationships.
  • DBS on the Update Service or willing to have one put in process asap.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Previous experience working withchildren or young people, particularly within SEN, SEMH, specialist education, residential care or therapeutic settings.
  • Experience supporting young people withchallenging behaviour, emotional regulation or complex needs.
  • A calm, patient and emotionally resilient approach.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to remain composed and consistent in challenging situations.
  • A genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Important Requirement

Due to the specific needs of the pupils and the nature of the provision, the setting requires male Therapeutic Integration Practitioners for these positions. This is an occupational requirement for the role.
