Duties and Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging and purposeful PE lessons.
- Teaching PE across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach GCSE PE where required.
- Creating an inclusive and motivating learning environment that encourages participation, teamwork and a healthy lifestyle.
- Developing students' physical skills, confidence, resilience and understanding of sport and physical activity.
- Differentiating and adapting lessons to meet the needs of pupils with SEND and other additional needs.
- Assessing, monitoring and providing constructive feedback to support student progress.
- Preparing students effectively for GCSE PE examinations and practical assessments where required.
- Working collaboratively within the PE department to contribute to the continued success of the faculty.
- Supporting extracurricular activities, fixtures and sporting events where required.
- Supporting the wider development of students through positive relationships, high expectations and effective classroom management.
The School Are Looking For
- Male PE ECTs or fully qualified PE Teachers.
- Experience teaching PE within UK secondary school classrooms.
- Strong knowledge of the PE curriculum.
- Experience teaching GCSE PE and familiarity with relevant examination boards.
- A genuine passion for sport and physical education, with the ability to inspire students.
- A calm, professional and engaging classroom presence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong classroom management and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
