The school are seeking a supportive and motivated Teaching Assistant who can fully immerse themselves in school life and become a valued member of the team. Initially, this role will involve weekly cover to support with staff absence and training. However, there is strong potential for this to develop into a long-term opportunity for the right candidate. You will be working across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, including mixed-age classes, supporting pupils with additional SEND needs and helping to manage behaviour in a positive and effective way.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare, Teaching Assistant, or similar
- Recent experience supporting pupils with SEND
- Confidence in supporting and managing behaviour
- Flexibility to work across KS1 and KS2 (including mixed-age classes)
- A proactive, nurturing and team-focused approach
Requirements:
- Ability to provide a minimum of two references covering the last two years
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one through Smile Education
- Be available to attend an interview/registration with Smile Education
