- SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
- We are looking for a caring, dedicated, and enthusiastic
SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team and support children with additional needs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children who are non-verbal and be passionate about helping every child reach their full potential.
You will be patient, adaptable, and able to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
Essential
- Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Experience working with non-verbal children.
- A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to adapt learning and support to meet individual needs.
Desirable
- Knowledge and experience of
- Makaton
- Experience using
- PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System)
- Understanding of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) strategies and other communication approaches.
- Experience supporting children with autism and complex communication needs.
