Smile Education is partnering with a leading secondary school in Smethwick to welcome a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to their team starting January 2026. If you\’re passionate about supporting students\’ learning and want to make a real difference in the classroom, we’d love to hear from you!

As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee pre-planned lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher. Your role is to maintain a focused and positive learning environment, manage behaviour effectively, and ensure students remain on task. You’ll work across a variety of subjects, making this a great opportunity to build experience and develop your classroom confidence.

You’ll be joining a supportive, professional, and welcoming team who are committed to helping you grow in your role while making a real impact on student engagement and progress.

Ideal candidate

• A bachelor’s degree or strong experience working with young people in an educational setting
• Confidence in managing classroom behaviour and engaging students
• Flexibility to cover a range of subjects and year groups
• A passion for supporting young people and helping them succeed in school
