Secondary Cover Teacher in Shrewsbury

Smile Education are currently recruiting for a Secondary Cover Teacher to work across secondary schools in the Wolverhampton area.

As a Secondary Cover Teacher, you will support schools by delivering lessons when their usual teachers are unavailable. You will generally work from pre-planned lessons, allowing you to focus on classroom management, student engagement and maintaining a positive learning environment.

This is a great opportunity for experienced teachers and ECTs who want regular work while having the flexibility to choose the days and opportunities that suit them.

The RoleAs a Secondary Cover Teacher, you will:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of secondary year groups.
• Supervise students and ensure they remain engaged with their learning.
• Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment.
• Follow lesson plans and school policies effectively.
• Manage behaviour confidently and consistently.
• Support students with their learning and individual needs.
• Provide feedback to the school following lessons where required.
• Adapt quickly to different classroom environments and school routines.
