Smile Education are currently recruiting for a Humanities Teacher to join a secondary school in Cannock.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering engaging Humanities lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Teaching subjects such as History, Geography or Religious Studies.
  • Creating an inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and independent thinking.
  • Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all students, including those with SEND.
  • Assessing and providing constructive feedback to support progress.
  • Preparing students effectively for GCSE examinations where required.
  • Maintaining high expectations and positive classroom behaviour.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to support the wider success of the department.
  • The School Are Looking For
  • Humanities ECTs or fully qualified Humanities Teachers.
  • Experience teaching within a UK secondary school.
  • Strong knowledge of the Humanities curriculum.
  • GCSE teaching experience in History, Geography or Religious Studies is desirable.
  • A genuine passion for Humanities and the ability to inspire students.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A flexible, reliable and professional approach.
